Santa Barbara City College has been offering study abroad programs for more than 44 years. Since its first credit summer program in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1973, more than 6,000 SBCC students have participated in study abroad programs in approximately 20 different countries, including Spain, Greece, Italy, England, France, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, Chile, Argentina, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Rwanda and Cuba.
In the spring of 2018, we will be offering a world literature, creative writing, psychology, and Italian language program in Rome, Italy. In the summer of 2018, we will be offering a STEM science program in Germany, a communication program in Japan as well as an art history and architecture program in France & Spain. In the fall of 2018, we will be offering an American literature, art history, Spanish language and culture program in Spain. During winter break of 2018/19, we'll be offering a Spanish language and horticulture program in Havana, Cuba. In the spring of 2019, we will be offering a marine biology program in Bali as well as a literature and Italian language program in Italy.
