American Sign Language Club
Participation in campus club life is a great way to enrich your experience here at SBCC. Clubs are organized to involve students in specialized fields of interest associated with academics, hobbies, and special service to the community or College.
The American Sign Language (ASL) Club is one of the exciting and active clubs here on the SBCC campus. The ASL club was voted SBCC’s Outstanding Club of the Year in 2009. Its mission is to create a space for all learners to practice American Sign Language and serves as a bridge to build relationships between the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing community and all those who want to learn ASL by hosting and supporting inclusive educational opportunities and interactions.
